Getting into writing

 

In his early thirties Tony moved house and sparked up a friendhsip with his new neighbour, an aspiring screenwriter called Doug Briggs. Conversation over pints at the pub turned to careers, and Tony recalled stories from the market which Doug often used in his scripts. After a bit of convincing, Tony tried to write his own script, sticking to what he knew best; the markets. Doug urged him to send it off to the BBC, and the rest is history...
